this is something every pregnant woman thinks off and it really scares everyone that includes especially me. I have faith and i know im going to have a healthy baby. For all those who experienced miscarriage my sympathy goes out to you and never lose hope. you will surely get an angel soon.

I just have this small question for you people, when are the risks of miscarriage lower. At which stage.

To all those who take your time to answer my question, thanks a whole bunch and god bless.

  1. They say you can generally relax a bit after 12 weeks, so you only have one more week left to go.

Of course things can still happen after this stage, but the chances are reduced significantly.

  2. i've been told that it's the 12 week mark which lowers the risk my 3 were 2 at 1 month then another at 2 months. I gave birth to stillborn twins at 5 months but the only reason that was because someone intervened. But other then that its 12 weeks

  3. once their is an established heart beat the risk of miscarrage drops to 2-3% chance

  4. Angelic is right, once they hear the heartbeat through their doppler or whatever the percentage goes way down. I worried about it somewhat (my sister's first 2 pregnancies ended in miscarriage) until I was about 9 weeks, when I started to feel the bump sometimes in my pelvis and very occasional movement (I'm a skinny girl so it was easier for me to tell). They tried to hear the heartbeat for me at 9 weeks but couldn't, and the midwife said "it's really not a big deal, some women's uteruses are tilted backwards making it harder to hear, and your blood vessels are in the way so we hear your heartbeat too loudly." Heard the heartbeat and saw my little wiggler onscreen at 12 weeks, and felt the first kicks at 16.5 weeks. 19 weeks now gettin kicked every day and those fears are a distant memory, but now I worry about other random things over which I have no control. =)

  5. they say 13 weeks it decreases to like 2-3% but me and my wife lost our first at 37 weeks.  we never saw it coming.  or second is four months old now happy healthy and whole and we were nervous wrecks the entire pregnancy.  so plan for the worst hope for the best is the only real advice i can give.

  6. After 12 weeks the chances drop drastically! Congrats

  7. They told me 13 wks at the beginning of your second trimester.

  8. After 14 weeks. That's what my doctor told me after I had my miscarriage. I just wish I knew that BEFORE I told the whole world I was pregnant...

  9. well, the general rule of thumb is after your first trimester, the risk is lowered significantly..but unfortunately they can happen anytime. My three were between the 6 week mark and the 2 month mark...but now I have a three year old little girl and a bot due in 4 weeks!!! so you're absolutely right...never give up hope!! and I think you're just about past the "danger zone" Good luck to you and congrats!!!
