Where are you from? I am from India. Do not fear. People from other countries have huge misconceptions about India. They still think about India as it was many decades back. But India has changed a lot. Of course there are problems but problems are there everywhere.

You will like India becuase you will see different culture in different states and the metros are highly sophisticated too..you can live with very little money fulfilling ur basic needs..the education standard is also good..Its a nice country to live and I speak for the southern states like Tamilnadu and Karnataka which have large number of job openings after education..and its a nice country as a whole to live and study..you need to adapt to spicy food though u can find some fast food centers..but once u like indian food, u will really enjoy it..the climate is hot a bit in summers and pleasant during November-December...so go ahead...good luck
