1. Set up an ice cream bar and make your own sundaes. Get some ice cream whatever flavors you like and some toppings, sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, etc and everyone make their own sundaes.

Get some food and snacks, etc.

Rent some movies, make popcorn, and everyone lounge out and watch movies. Get some red fabric or a long red carpet and make that the entrance so your friends are walking in on the red carpet. You can put some solar lights on both sides to light it up and take pictures of them entering on the red carpet. Hang a white sheet in your house for you and your friends to pose for pictures in front of it. This way there's no distracting objects behind you in the pictures. Get some cardboard popcorn containers at the dollar store or blockbuster and some microwave popcorn and big boxes of movie popcorn. During movie time everyone gets their own popcorn bucket and pass around the candy.

After the movie is the "after" party where you can eat and do the ice cream bar. bbq or order pizza or do a taco bar, whatever food YOU like! Eat, do the ice cream, have snacks, etc. Have fun! You can also go to the craft store and get those blank frames and you and your friends can decorate them, each person does one frame and they take home their frame, so the pictures you took they have a frame to put them in.

You can also get props at the dollar store, boas, glasses, etc, so when you're posing for your pictures in front of the sheets, you have props to play around with.

You can also dress as your favorite movie character and everyone come as their favorite character.

If it's nice out, take the party outside and do relay races. Potato sack races, water balloon fights, three legged races. Get a kiddie pool and fill it with water and do a tug of war, the losing team ends up in the water! You can bbq and serve lemonade and iced tea, do the ice cream bar, have a pie eating contest, but instead of pie, do it with whipped cream in a pie tin. You can get a slip and slide and have fun with that. Get a volleyball net and play volleyball and badmitten, etc. Take advantage of the nice weather and have fun. Set up some chairs and towels though for those people that can't or don't want to play so they can lounge out and have fun watching everyone!

You can do a spa theme and do each other's hair, make-up, manicures and pedicures. Tell your friends to wear their flip flops so their pedicures don't get ruined. Pair up with each other and have fun, eat lots of junk food and make a night of it. You can also ask an older sister, cousin, or your mom or aunt if they're willing to do it for you so then instead of doing it to each other, you all have someone pampering you for the night! Then you can have the food you want and hang out all night.

You can do a sit down dinner party. Set the dinner in a formal way, cloth tablecloths, cloth napkins, etc, and talk to your mom and cook the mean from appetizers to desserts or send out and have a real sit down dinner party with your friends.

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party and a very Happy Birthday!

  2. Frank's Pizza

    Pizza sauce*

    8 oz. tomato paste

    6–8 pureed tomatoes

    1-3 oz. onion, minced

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    10 grams oregano, finely chopped

    30 grams basil, finely chopped

    2 oz red wine

    Crust*

4 whole wheat pita bread rounds

    salt and pepper

    1/4 cup of olive oil

    *Prepared beforehand

    Suggested Toppings

2 cups of low-fat shredded mozzarella or 4-6 slices of fresh mozzarella

1 oz chicken sausage or prosciutto or 1/2 cup cooked chicken pieces

    5-6 calamata olives, pitted

2 roma tomatoes, thinly sliced and seasoned with salt

2 cups of low-fat shredded mozzarella or 4-6 slices of fresh mozzarella

greens mixture: 1 cup of arugula, sprig of purple basil, dash of lemon juice

    Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a saucepan, mix your tomato paste and tomato puree over low heat. Add onion, garlic, oregano, and basil. Top with wine, cover, and simmer for thirty minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool slightly and set aside.

On your pitas, drizzle a dash of olive oil with salt and pepper and spread evenly.

Use amount of sauce to taste, and the toppings you prefer. Here, Lee Anne combines mozzarella slices with fresh tomatoes, prosciutto and the arugula topping. Another pizza is plain melted mozzarella cheese, and the last is a mixture of olives and sausage.
