  1. Ammoudia village has a very beautiful and big semicircular beach. It’s a sandy, aquarium beach that is advisable for families with too young children due its shallows. On the beach there are umbrellas and deck chairs where everybody can order coffee or soft drinks but there is also enough place for those that want to have their own umbrellas. There is also the possibility of taking a shower on the beach while on the entrance there’s place to park the car.

  2. i was in greece a year ago it is beautiful tons of restaurants and lot to do

the food however is nothing like in america it is more ... well let say spicy but not hot  however do not eat the long green peppers on your plate they are hot

  3. Ammoudia nr Parga? If yes - then I'm like a local there - everyone knows me hehe! It's not touristic (as in spoilt) at all - at the moment it's quite busy with tourists from Greece and Italy - we will go next week for a few days. It's busier at the weekends with people from Ioannina go there. There are some excellent tavernas - there's one on the last corner (seas opp) called Poseidon - they have pretty good food and great pasta (I had sea food pasta last week - spicy and tonnes of garlic but delicious), Most of the tavernas are along the river side - my fav there is one beginning with A - maybe Apellagos (can't remember the name) it's the second to the last before Roxanna (that's good for fish)

As you come into Ammoudia - before you hit the town (village) you will see a big blue and white hotel on your right called Gogos Palace - that's my favourite place! They have a nice swimming pool - very clean rooms and are extremely friendly!

I have written about Ammoudia on www.tripadvisor.co.uk

Bring plenty of mosquito spray, especially if you are eating at the tavernas next to the river. Spray yourself as you leave the apartment - I use cream on the kids - and a bit on their legs/ arms before they go to bed instead of a electric tablet at night time.

Have a great time and if you need any more info give us a shout!

  4. ;o) I was there 10 years ago and it used to be a small but nice village. It must have changed a lot since then
