My son is 13 yrs old @ 6ft. 2in, and has never rode a bike in his life. I started him off on a kawasaki 250f, and he is doing great on it.

so long as your on the light side of the 6ft 1inch tall, meaning not pushing like 240+ pounds a Yamaha YZ125 would be a good bike for you. Otherwise you would likely have to look at the 250's
