  1. Aww!

    You DumbWoman!

Do u need a Super Computer to Calculate that?

by the way.. whats a cycle?

  2. You should try charting you BBT on FertilityFriend.com.  and also use OPKs. Do both for atleast one cycle. This will let you know if you ovulating or not. If you are ovulating you can get pregnant. You would just want to continue charting and using OPKs so you know when you ovulate and are fertile. If you aren't then you will have to see a doctor to get some fertility meds. The first time I saw my doctor I took him my BBT chart and he could see that I wasnt ovulating. So that saved me a lot of unnecessary testing and he put me on clomid right away to make me ovulate.

If you dont know how to chart your BBT, FertilityFriend has a lot of helpful information to teach you. You just have to take your temperature each morning with a Basal Body Thermometer and enter it into the web site. Then FertilityFriend does all the work.

If you are ovulating it would probably be 14 days before your expected period. So for a 55 day cycle it would be day 41. That is what a calculator will tell you. But every body is different. That is why it is more accurate to track your own body with charting and OPKs. Your ovulation should be atleast 14 days before your period. By charting you can find out if it is shorter than that. Because if its not long enough you probably wont get pregnant. A calculator wont tell you that.

So if you want accurate information you need to pay attention to your own body.

I haven't gotten pregnant yet, but atleast now I know what the problem is and my doctor is trying to fix it. Without charting I would have just kept trying every month without success not knowing that I wasnt ovulating. My cycles are long like yours and that gives us less chances to get pregnant each year, because we have less cycles. So it definately helps to know that your body is working properly.

And if you chart and do ovulate then you will know when you expect ovulation next month.

Good luck and lots of baby dust!

  3. I am not an expert on this issue, but after seeing the previous post I wanted to at least give you some sort of positve feedback. The only thing I can offer is that I have heard that no matter how long your cycle is most women ovulate 14 days before their period will start. In that case you would be ovulating on day 41. However I have also heard that if your cycle is longer than 35 days you may not be ovulating.  You may want to try OPK. Sorry I know this isnt much help.
