  1. I'm a back spot. One of the main thing a stunt group needs is trust. If you don't trust you're bases, or you're bases don't trust you, you will get nearvous and the stunts won't work. Learn to trust you're bases.

Now when they throw you in the air, wait like half a second (that quick) and snap into a sitting position with you're legs straight in front of you while you're still in the air. It should look like you're doing a pike jump. Good Luck!

  2. Yes, that is true, but the most important thing is trust!  You have to trust the poeple in your stunt group and they have to trust you.  It will not always be perfect at first but the more confidence you have in yourself and your teamater the better it is!

  3. Here's a step by step simple guide to cradling:

    1. Always keep your legs locked through the whole process...The whole time!

    2. Once you feel the bases have pushed as far up as possible "ride" their toss by swinging your arms to your side, arching your back just a little and try to ride the pop until you feel like you are coming back down

    3. Once  you feel you are coming back down form a pike position and wrap your arms around your bases shoulders

    4. Always keep tight and never unlock your legs! :)

Here is a link also that is even more detailed and includes step by step pictures, tips, and videos from different angles! http://www.varsity.com/index.asp?article...

  4. Im a front spot, and im basically the only that gets to observe the flyer, well mainly cause, my job doesn't start til the flyer can get down. And yes, it is true. You have to ride it, get in a high V or a touchdown and squeeze your butt. Reach Up and Sit don't jump down... Don't be scared to sit... that's what the back. front and bases are for, they're there to catch you.
