Yes Andyman is right and don't listen to Just William .  No one will make you a prostitute. If you go to the right places like The London Eye , Tower Bridge etc you will have a great time but very cold so bring warm clothes.

Also, buy a book on Cockney Rhyming Slang - language used by criminals in the West End hundreds of years ago to confuse the police. You say a word that sounds like the work you want to say.  For example - 'apples and pears' means 'stairs'. It has diffused into normal English.

Make sure you have a good tube map. The circle and district line goes around central London and so you probably won't venture beyond it too much.
