  1. considering the current scenario, there is a shortage of pilots for the ever expanding aviation industry in India and even in abroad. So going for pilot training will be a lucrative career. it will also give you a career satisfaction plus loads of money. However, be aware that there are very stringent guidelines and rules and regulations to be followed for becoming a pilot. There are also strict medical related rules. So if you are sure that your are in the pink of your health and don't have any major health defects like poor eyesight or heart problem, then you can definitely try for it.

Aircraft engineering is also lucrative and India especially faces shortage of aircraft engineers also. However, there is not much growth in this sector and this sector also involves a lot of stationary field work.

  2. I'm studying aerospace engineering right now.  I found out that all the nice dream jobs for example  designing an airplane aren't enough for everyone.  Smart one may go for R&D and Normal people like me may end up with overhaul and maintenance stuffs which mostly are paper works and boring.

On the other hand, pilot earns more money and usually perceive as a very cool job, don't need high math skills, may even have less work (because they work only during take off and landing), get to travel but have to be away from home and family!!

so, this is a rough idea from engineering student, hope it helps
