Hi i am from mumbai want to report a complaint about Taxi meter in mumbai how do i go about?

according to me the meter was very fast can someone guide me as to where to send the complaint or is it that i should forget about it.

  1. Complaint to nearest Traffic Police outpost (there is one in Andheri East).    BTW,  I usually tell the Taxi/Auto driver that his meter is fast and if he is not willing to accept the fair fare which I offer, I will complaint to Police.  This has worked always.

    A complaint usually yields result and if you are serious you can send a copy to Readers Grievence cell of Times of India

I applaud you for even trying.Seems like everyone in India is on the take.It happened to me this summer.It was hot and muggy and we were plain miserable and the taxi driver got away with my money.If you complain nothing much will happen unless may be you have the licence plate of the taxi.Good luck you will need it.

  7. Contact Mumbai Taxi Transport Authority.. and you can easily get the address/contacts from local traffic police officer. If you have Taxi Number than easy to make complaint but Remember you are in Mumbai so NO Results till End Dec-2008.

    this is the main problem which we were facing so dont worry about that if u will complaint there would be no action on that

    and u will waste ur money and time with great tension

    so according to me leave it

    because i did it and no results
