  1. I had the exact same problem, although i hadn't been riding for long and didn't really have good leg muscles so i went back to just riding flat till i had built up enough muscle to hold my legs, yours maybe something different but thats what i did.

Or use toe stoppers to stop your feet slipping into the irons.

  2. why is this horse racing please go to horses under pets you will get a better response

  3. Practice over some ground poles/cavaletti's in your jumping position to give you the feel so that you legs can get used to the feel of it, the horse can also do more if only going over small poles. Start with trotting and work upto the canter when your leg improves. Remember to continue to tell yourself to keepo you leg still

    goodluck

  4. Its all about confidence and rhythm. You and the horse are a team so just keep practicing, Im sure you will get it right.

  5. Gosh out of all the answers there is one most important thing everyone has missed,

Put more weight down in your heels

    lengthen your lower leg,

The more weigh you have the less your legs slip back period,

One thing I do is have my students look at people at big shows pictures , and look at their legs , see it . feel it,, do it
