Hi i bought a used xbox 360 now it has 3 red lights no warranty sticker

hi i bought a used xbox 360 with 3 red lights. One of my friends knew how to fix it but now he moved. It has no warranty sticker. Does anyone know what i should do. I know there is something online but im scared to fix it by myself. I also dont want to spend a lot of money on it. Thanks a lot for all your help

call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and don't say its used. they won't fix if you say that. but if you don't tell them they can't tell where you got it and they'll fix it for free.

i bought a broken 360 also... only mine wasnt supposed to be broken

theyre very helpful. i think from what i remember it costs 99.00 to fix them... whatevers wrong with them. that includes shipping.

then you get the full warranty when you get it back.

they said it takes around a week.

MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED CORRECTLY.... DOUBLE CHECK...

i got the lights too but the problem was that the power cable wasn't plugged right... check all power connections!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if that is not it call microsoft...they should be able to help you anyway

Yes, I actually work for Microsoft and no matter what the condition as ordered by CEO (at the time) Bill Gates, all xbox 360's will be in warranty another 3 years for "manufacturer" defects, including the "red ring of death" just call "1-800-4-my-xbox" and they will send you out a kit to mail your xbox 360 free of charge.

well it depends when you bought because if it has the 3 lights within 30 days of the store you purchased it from you can return it for another used one, if not you can try youtube and look for videos how to open it and fix as your last resort. there is another way to fix it but it IS NOT A PERMANENT FIX, get a couple of towels and rap your 360 in it, turn it on and leave it for 20min, open it and let it cool for 20min i myself do not suggest this

alright here is the best solution.

and whatever ever you do dont do the penny trick or the towel trick or the FIY trick. just pikc up the phone and call xbox. they will help you and im sure they will send you another one or ask you to send it in to them =D
