Hi i found a parakeet. it is a female and she is about 2 years old. how do i get her to come on my finger?

Its going to take awhile, especially if you found it. Truth is when a bird goes through a traumatic ordeal it can take awhile for it to trust you. Basically start by just feeding and talking to it. Then slowly place stick underneath its abdomen and use the command "step up" after awhile when it takes little to no effort for the bird to step up on the stick slowly start sticking your hand in their. Allow the bird to get used to your hand ( Don't lift your hand to it just allow it to sit in the cage and maybe even putting some treates in your hand and allow it to come to you)and then slowly start doing the same thing you were doing with the stick except now with your hand. Use the same comand. By the way this is gonna take awhile so please be patient, And if you start to get frustrated just walk away. Birds can sense when your stressed and there for become stressed themselves. Just be patient, relax and try to enjoy the time with the bird.

( also to tell if its a male, or female, the male with have blue around their nostrils, and the female will be pink or brown color. )

Patience is key. First of all, make sure that she is used to you by just talking to her for a few weeks. When you're ready to start training her, I suggest pressing on her belly first thing in the morning when she's not fully awake yet. Eventually she will learn to step onto your finger (though it could take a few weeks or a month or so for her to be able to stay on it). Try your hardest not to startle her or scare her as this could cause a setback.
