  1. I don't know what type it is but you must try and find the owner since its a tame bird someone will be looking for this bird so place ad and if they can discribe the bird then its theres other wise any one can say its theres and may try and sell to someone and the poor bird still hasnt found its owner.

  2. Does it look like this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-masked_...

    or like this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-crowned...

    Which one is closer?

  3. You cant know its s*x for sure unless you get it dna'd

it is probably an amazon of some sort

did you find it outside?? if so you should try to find its owner.

if it is tucking in its foot it means  it is relaxing, this is how a healthy comfortable parrot sleeps.

  4. PLEASE try to find this bird's rightful owner. It could be a beloved pet that someone is looking for. Look in your newspaper's lost and found and see if someone's posted a lost bird ad. Look around your neighborhood for flyers. Check local pet stores for flyers. Go to www.911parrotalert.com and look for lost notices.

DON'T keep this bird until you make every effort to find its rightful owner.

  5. Yes to all the others - you need to find the owner - I don't know where you live but our local paper posts Free Found ads for people.  Sounds like a type of conure - not your average lost bird and these birds are also expensive.  Not too mention that birds form tight bonds with their owners and he could start to pine or pick feathers in stress from new owner - please do the best you can to find his/her owner.
