  1. It would be easier to answer this if we knew what "my car" was.

If it's maybe 95 or newer, it's a base-coat clear-coat urethane, and is tougher than you think.

Laquer thinner, Goo gone, 409, WD-40, Bug and Tar remover, etc.

You'll do far more damage scrubbing with something that doesn't break down the glue, then you will with an average chemical that wipes it off.

  2. no dont use goo gone! start with simply parking the car so the tape is exposed to the sun if possible, if not use a hair dryer and warnm the tape till the glue softens work a corner up with your finger nail and simply remove the tape. let it cool completely and spray some wd40 on the glue residue take a clean rag and remove the glue. mow wash the car and wax it good as new.

  3. YEAH ITS FINE...IT WONT HURT THE PAINT....WHY DONT U JUST SCRUB IT HARD WITH WATER OR SOMETHING ELSE JUST IN CASE

  4. Its worth a try. I would use "Easy Off" oven cleaner.

  5. no way dude dont do it i had duct tape on my car i tried the same thing it left a huge fade mark, take a razor blade and carefully without scratching the paint slowly cut off the tape marks
