  1. dunno

  2. "G-W" is a myth, invented by lazy,"junk-science" types who want free-money, Federal Research Grants!

Our planet was here LONG before WE were, & will be here long after our time has passed. It is arrogant of mankind to even entertain the thought that WE can damage it, as THEY have implied. Global Warming, AND Cooling, is a naturally occuring, cyclical, phenomena. ALL the MONEY in the world can't change a "bleeping" thing, except, leave you with less MONEY!!!

  3. Global Warming is the phenomenon of increase of average temperature of earth.Global warming is now a real time scenario & controls the center stage of every discussion. This green house is due to non emergence of infrared rays of sun from the earth surface which enter into our earth atmosphere .This entrapment of heat of sun infrared rays are basically done by the presence of CO2,carbonmonoxide,water vapors & methane etc.The infrared rays entering into our atmosphere undergoes total internal reflection from the lowly settled carbon dioxides & hence tend to increase our earth temperature but they don't have the capability to hold the ultraviolet rays.

Due to increase in the percentage of carbon dioxides in the atmosphere there is a significant increase in the average temp of the earth.Since 1900 till 2000 due to the industrial revolution & the use of fossil fuels by human beings there has been a significant increase in the % of carbon dioxides in the earth atmosphere by .01% which in tune had translated into corresponding incraese of 0.6 degree celsius in the average temperature of the earth.

If this trend & pace of energy consumption is maintained then we may end 2100 with an net increase of 2-3 degree Celsius in average temperature of the earth. This in turn the melts the ice cover of the Arctic & Antartic. And these land masses of ice hold 90% of the total water on the earth surface. So due to increase of the average temp of the earth these polar ice caps will melt down & these when form water may bring a never heard effect of sea flooding which will submerge the low lying coastal areas like Bangladesh & there will be reverse flooding of the rivers. The rivers fed by the glaciers may become seasonal & the rivers may also fail to meet to seas like this year in case of Murray & darling in Australia.

This may invoke the growth & living pattern & migration pattern of men & animals of many places.Earth may have t face food & water shortage due to this phenomenon.

Due to the melting of ices in the polar many animal & plant species will loose their habitat & lead to certain extinction.

This will ultimately hamper the GDP growth of many countries & according to many estimates that the gross loose due to global warming may be 4-5% of global GDP.

So its imperative that we must now start thinking about the the harmful effects of Global warming due to green house effect of Carbon & adopt measures to protect the earth.

  4. Even if it were real it wouldn't do anything in your lifetime, so don't worry.

  5. What you've learned about global warming and it's effects is probably all wrong.  In reality, it is a weak theory that is so full of holes that it couldn't possibly be true.  And some very corrupt and dishonest means are being used to promote it.

  6. global warning is global warning

  7. There is currently no evidence that man has made any significant contribution to climate change.

    Some interesting facts.

    1. During most of the past 2,000 years, the temp has been about the same or higher. Currently, we are barely over the average for the last 2,000 years.

    2. During the medieval warm period (820 – 1040 AD), Greenland supported farming. Those areas previously farmed are now covered in glaciers. Obviously the melting and reformation of glaciers is a cyclical occurrence.

    3. The earth experienced a little ice age which ended around the late 1860's or so. This is about the time man started recording temperatures. This would be like measuring a lake depth after a severe drought, then worrying about it flooding as it rose to normal levels.

    4. The earth has been warming for the last 18,000 years, since the last major glacier time period. During this time frame, the glaciers have been melting at a fairly consistent rate. Also, for most of the last 1 billion years, the earth had NO glaciers or ice coverage.

    5. The AGW theory states that CO2 is the primary driver of temperature. They arrived at this idea because they did not know of anything else which could cause it. But during the 70's and during the current decade, temperatures dropped while CO2 continued to rise. This means that natural occurrences are driving temp, not CO2.

    6. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation and sun spots provides a much better correlation to earths' temperature than CO2 levels ever have.

    7. Polar Bears are experiencing a population boom. Coke sales in the arctics are through the roof. Polar Bears have been around for thousands of years, and remember, we are only at the average for the last 2,000 years. They lived through all the previously warmer climates.

    8. Many glaciers are expanding. Even Antarctica is growing on 98% of is land mass. Only 2% is melting.

    9. There is no consensus on AGW. This was a lie that has been propagated by the media.

    10. Yes we emit CO2 into the atmosphere and it is a greenhouse gas, but, we only contribute about .28% of all the greenhouse effect. Water vapor makes up about 95% of the greenhouse effect. CO2 and other trace gases round out the greenhouse gases at about 5% for all of them. Of that 5%, only 3% is CO2, and most of that is natural. Again, our contribution to the greenhouse effect is a paltry .28%

    11. The spread of disease is not attributed mainly to temperature. If this were the case, Florida would be a giant festering disease ridden cesspool. Economic standing is the primary determining factor in the spread of disease. Poor cultures can not fight the disease or eradicate the pests like more successful nations.

    12. Natural climate disasters (hurricanes, cyclones, etc) have never been scientifically linked to global warming (whether natural or man made).
