  1. i was the same way when i was going to get mine. i thought i would get bored of him. but once i got him i fell in love with him. i couldnt get rid of him if i tried. he is a doll.

  2. I think you should do some research on them and gather some information to get a better understanding of them, google the equipment you will need and if you are still keen after all that then go for it, if not then don't.

  3. If you aren't sure that you should get a ball python, then don't do it. You will know if and when the time is right. Balls are friendly, easy to handle snakes, but they can be difficult to feed. Sometimes they will eat readily, live or frozen. There will be times when the snake won't eat. You may have to switch from live to frozen food or vice versa.  You will need to be able to determine when it is okay that your snake is not eating versus when there is a problem that needs veterinary attention.  Are you willing to take your snake to a reptile vet when or if needed? Ask yourself what it is you want in a pet? Why does a snake appeal to you?  I don't know where you live, but in my area the mice and rats the balls eat can be expensive. They are $1.50 or more depending on the size of the rodent. Can you afford to pay that much money every week or so to feed your snake?

  4. i think you should wait a few months, just in case it is only a phase.

  5. You should wait until you are older to own one because they do take lot of work too. It might just be a phase.

Wait until you are in high school and when you are able to handle for more responsibility.

Snakes aren't easy as you think they are. They do take the same amount of work as a dog or a cat.

I was in your spot once too but then I lost interest for a while then my parents had to care for it then I started liking them again and then now I like them now. But then I'm a lot older now so it makes a HUGE difference. They became my babies now.

Snakes are like every other animal(dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, etc.) they need the attention and you could be addicted to them and love them(though some people might fine it stupid) so I think you should wait until you are 100% sure that you will take care of it and be ready to feed it every week and so on. It is kind of mean to just leave it alone for months and not care for it because you got bored...yea the same them happened to me but then it was only for like a week......they deserves the same treatment as other loveable pets too...don't treat them any different then you would treat a dog or a cat.

Just email me if you have any questions

.............From your previous questions..it said that you already own a ball python and that you are looking for feeders. You shouldn't be owning one if you are not ready to deal with the money cost for everything.

  6. my son has been asking about getting a snake for four years now, finally i said to him if you really want a snake you would research on the basic husbandry and to my shock he answered with most of the indepth details of keeping a ball python... so i guess what i am trying to say if you really wanted one, you would research the needs of the snake and if you get bored of doing this then you dont really want one....I know my son used to spend every spare moment reserching on how to keep his snake... and i am so proud of how he is taking care of it!!! so wait a while and research it first...... good luck.. and remember its a long term commitment, you could have your snake for upto 25 years or so........ hope i helped..!

  7. well all i can say is if you want one then get one,if you loose intrest in it then make sure to take it back were you got it or to a pet shop,if you take time to read up on ball pythons you will find they make great pets.they are cheap to buy and feed.ether you are a snake person or your not,if you find out you are then you will respect all reptiles.

  8. go 4 it
