Hi, about 2 weeks ago my girlfriend came and visited me and we had s*x, now while we were the condom broke and we thought instantly she was pregnant, well about 2 days after that she got her period for the full 7 days and then it stoped, now after her period her stomach has been hurting really bad and now she thinks she is pregnant. Is it possible to be pregnant after having ur period?

Nope if she had her period its impossible i think,

just tell her to take a pregnant test just to be on the safe side.

Yes it is possible and I have even known of people having a period their entire pregnancy. I would not freak out yet. Have her take a test in a few weeks. That is all you can do as of right now. Good Luck!

highly doubt it, sperm only lasts like 2 days, and if after 2 days she had her period, especially for 7 days, then shes not, but i guess anything is possible

Oh man, that's not good.  I would say just wait a few days and see how her stomach feels.  If her stomach is still hurting I would see about getting her a pregnancy test.

it is possible to still have a period or multiple for that matter and be pregnant at the same time.  have her wait till she's suppose to get her period again and take a test.  good luck.

Yes. I know two girls (sisters) and one got her period for 7 months of her pregnancy and the other for 5 months of her pregnancy. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test.

its really unlikely as the egg she released that could of been fertilised obviously wasnt as she released it as a period so there would of been nothing there . tell her not too worry there could be many reasons why her tummy hurts even stress if she is worried about a possible pregnancy

Yes, it is possible.  Some people can continue to have their periods throughout an entire pregnancy.  

A stomach ache doesn't mean pregnancy.  That could be from the stress she's experiencing from this pregnancy scare.  

Just wait a few weeks then take a pregnancy test to find out for sure.

well because she got her period so soon after s*x it MAY be possible. but no you dont have full blown periods through pregnancy especially one that last 7 days and is heavy. i mean cmon people think! really i would go get a hpt. because it was soo close and sperm can survive for up to 5 days and if she ovulated early then thats how she coulda got pregnant.

If she got her period, she is most likely NOT pregnant.

A period flushes out the eggs, which means the egg was not fertilized.

Her stomach pain is most likely from stress.

When I got pregnant, I didn't get my period and I didn't have any stomach pain.

Even if she was pregnant, she wouldn't be getting 'stomach pain' this early.

Tell her to relax .. if she is THAT concerned, she can take a home pregnancy test. That will give her instant results.

I wouldn't say it's impossible but highly unlikely.

I have heard of woman still having there periods during pregnancy. It is rare but does occur. If your girlfriend is concerned I would suggest to her to have a pregnancy test in about a week. Or just go to the doctor for a blood test.

yes, you can still have your period and be pregnant. if she's taking birth control pills, this can throw off her cycles. best bet is to go to planned parenthood or a doctor and get checked out. or OTC tests like EPT will help you out.

She's probably just stressed about the thought of it. Tell her not to worry about it because the added stress could cause her next period to be late which will stress her out even more. If she misses her next period then I would take a test but being that the s*x was so close to her period and then the period was normal I would say you're pretty safe that she isn't pregnant.

Yes, I have had patients that had their periods well into the third trimester. She should try a pregnancy test just to be sure.
