Hi i have purchased a desert eagle air pistol for plinking and a wondered what single and double action ?

trigger meant, also do i have to pull the hammer back to shoot it, it fires 177 pellets and is powered by co2 gas cannisters, any advice would be much appreciated, many thanks.

Single action means you have to c**k the gun before pulling the trigger each time. (Unless it is a semi-auto, then the gas recoil will c**k the gun after the first shot)

Double action means you can just pull the trigger and it will move the hammer back for you. You do have to have a round in the chamber for the first shot, though.
