someone from the U.S. came home here in the philippines (she's a filipina) and has been recruiting house staff or office staff for his Iranian husband , who (according to her) is a diplomat in washington D.C. She even said, we will be working in a place similar to white house. How do you find this? Is she telling the truth? She said we will be applying for a tourist visa and need to pay 175 thousand pesos for it.but as soon as we get to U.S., she will process our working permits and we'll sign a two-year contract.she even said that the money we give to her will be reinbursed as soon as we get to U.S. PLEASE HELP. I DON'T WANT TO BE MISLED.THANKS

  1. Your being misled. You would not be able to change from a tourist visa to another type without returning to your home country. She is a liar and has no authorization to hire you and  since she is not a citizen she will not be able to sponsor you for any type of visa..

  2. Sounds like a scam to me.  For one, you cannot legally work in the US with a tourist visa.  Second, if this guy was interested in employing you, he would make all the necessary arrangements, including payment, to get you to the US.  He's trying to fool you out of your money.

Finally, THERE IS NO IRANIAN CONSULATE IN THE UNITED STATES.  The US and Iran do not have diplomatic relations.

If he is truly a US citizen, you should report him to the US Embassy or Consulate in the Philippines.

  3. dont do it! the biggest clue to this scam is the fact she wants YOU to put up the capitol for this venture. dont do it!
