Hi i want to mabe get a trombone for christmas how hard are they to play?

i want to ask my mom i already know how to play piano and i want to try trombone like not go and take lessons but u know mess around mabe look up online and get the feel myself. do u think i should or would it be to hard?

I don't know if you would be able to find enough stuff online to help you learn. You could find the stuff about how which notes are in which positionn but not how to actuallyl hold your mouth and stuff when you play. If you really want to learn how to play I would take lessons just long enough to learn the basics then quit lessons if you want and play the way you like. I don't know I would say at least try because once you learn it is a fun instrument to play.

The trombone, like all brass instruments, is difficult to learn because you have to develop your lip. Not all brass instruments are tuned the same way. They are set at different pitches( Bb, C, Eb ). Lessons on this instrument would be a better way to go. Good brass instruments are expensive as well. Try guitar or bass (guitar or stand-up) as they are scaled instruments like the piano and as such tie in well with your training. You are also in the Jokes/Riddles page. go to Music. Good luck!
