  1. You could do leaves painting them, drawing them or even gathering leaves from outside and pressing them between wax paper and laminating them like for a book mark or as a border for a family card or keepsake.  Also, you could get the kids to do the fruits and veggies, or even a turkey for Thanksgiving with the leaves being their hand prints in varying shades of fall colors, a paper plate with an eyes nose and mouth in cut out of different shapes like a mask but have them to make Harvest time scare crows.

  2. give the kids some construction paper & paint and tell them to make the leaves they see outside with their finger. then you make a tree trunk out of brown construction paper and have the kids out it on and make their own tree.my preschool kids love it.

    Or

Try Tying Fall and Thanksgiving Together since it is about that time

    Good Luck!

  3. You need:

    1. One leaf each child.

    2. Paints (Red, Yellow, & Orange)

    3. A reg sponge cut up into 4 - 6 depending on how many students you have. If you have a lot, you could get 2 reg sponges and cut each into 4 - 6 pieces.

You could let them go out and pick up one leaf each child. Going back inside, you could ask them to trace that leaf to the best of their ability on a yellow sheet of paper. Using the cut up sponges, your students will dab it into some paint and sponge the traced leaf in different colors.

  4. All I can think about are leaves. Maybe since it's fall you guys can go out and find different leaves that are somewhat close to orange and possibly make a collage with a tree background. It can also be helpful to send a message to the kids that this month is about Fall and not Halloween.

  5. You could have them  find all the orange things  in the room.

''I'm going to count to 10 ..everyone go find one orange thing"

Then call out each child's name and have them explain what they have found........Encourage kids to help their friends  during the 10 second countdown.

Have children go through old magazines and cut out pictures of orange things ..you could make a collage on white construction paper.  Print or paint a large word ORANGE.

Have the group go outside and collect leaves(or you bring in a pile ).Have the kids pick out the orange ones.

As a follow to this   have them  make a leaf person from an orange leaf...glue the leaf for the body ,have kids add faces, legs and arms using orange crayons or markers.

Use food colouring in water to experiment with red and yellow.

    Knock knock...who's there?

    Orange.

    Orange who ?

Orange you glad I'm not yellow.

What fruit tells you its color ???

    an ORANGE

    take care

  6. maybe some trees w/ different color leaves... i agree with the first girl

  7. You could have the kids paint or draw trees, and have them glue orange and red tissue paper squares for the leaves.
