  1. I have been to Maui many times and have stayed at many hotels there, including several times at the Hyatt.  The Hyatt is my favorite Maui hotel.  It is located on Kaanapali Beach, my favorite place to stay on Maui, so it is in easy walking distance of other resort hotels, restaurants, shopping and all beach activities.   The Westin and Sheraton are on that same beach, as are the Kaanapali Alii condos, the Marriott timeshare, and the older Kaanapali Beach Hotel.  But the Hyatt has better and bigger rooms than the Westin, is much more modern and in better condition than the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, does not try to sell you an overpriced timeshare like the Marriott, and has better fancier pools and grounds and lobbies than the Sheraton.

Here is a web page about the Hyatt Regency Resort Hotel on Kaanapali Beach, including photos of building, room, beach and pool

  2. The Hyatt Regency in Maui is old and rundown.  All the other major Kaanapali Properties have been remodeled recently (Sheraton, Westin) however the Hyatt has not.  Keeping that in mind, they are offering the cheapest rates for the Fall out of all the Kaanapali Resorts.  So it depends on what you are looking for in your vacation.

The Pool is fantastic, if you like to lay by the pool a lot that this is the resort for you!

Here is a virtual Tour of the Hyatt Maui:

**Just remember where there are great Hawaii pools, there are also lots of children :-)

  3. The Hyatt Maui is a Big Beautiful Hotel...the Lobby is amazing...almost breathtaking..very open...great pools and fun slide...nice beach area, several Restaraunts...they even have Penguins in the Lobby and a pretty cool Rope Bridge. I am just not to thrilled with the rooms nor the speed of In-Room Service and all Parking is Valet unless you want to walk quite a ways...on the Plus side there is a Doctors Office in the Hotel (you won't find this in ALL Hotels) in case you happen to need one of which I did..I had a Toothache and had to get some antibiotics and pain medicine and that was convenient since there is no Hospital on that side of the Island...I prefer the Maui Sheraton or the Westin for Hotels...but my Favorite is the Ka'anapali Ali'i Condos...GREAT PLACE!!!~~Aloha, Enjoy E Komo Mai~~Michelle~~
