  1. I am sorry to say it will take as long as it will take they are very over worked with allew law's changing , and they can give you noexact date as to all deportation's are taking much of their time, and the investigation's are a long process, so have faith, and be ready to wait it out.

  2. If you're a permanent resident, the petition you filed for your wife is an F2a immigrant visa petition. Although the petition itself has been approved, this type of petition currently takes almost 5 years from the time it is filed before it can be used to emigrate to the US. You can check this out by looking at the Visa Bulletin which changes each month. The priority date listed is the date you filed the petition and it's currently January 03 for F2a petitions. Once your petition is close to being valid for use, the NVC will contact you again. If you become a US citizen while you're waiting, let USCIS know about your petition so they can upgrade it to an IR-1 spouse of a US citizen petition. Those are good immediately, but USCIS won't look for it unless you tell them to.

  3. i think it takes at least 3 months to get the visa after approved.

  4. any immigration lawyer can answer your question.

  5. There are a lot of factors involved.  most important is where you are applying.

If you have the receipt number, you can track the status.  Otherwise call them.

  6. George L gave you the correct answer.  The wait is about 5 years and 2 months for a visa to become available.  If you should happen to become an American citizen during this time you must notify the CIS so that they bump up the status of your petition and put your wife in a category where a visa is immediately available with no annual quota.
