No, it's people who gave you a nickname. you can't change it. It can be more than one (May be some other people like different name to call you).

Well I guess it depends on what it is and how you got it.  

My name's Nicole and I was forever being called Nikki which I've never ever liked and I've always just told people, "my name is Nicole and if you must call me something else Nic will do but please don't call me Nikki, I hate it."  Almost all have been very good about it.

On the other hand if you pick up a silly name from something you do regularly or some embarrassing moment, those are a little tougher to get rid of.
