  1. I have a two year old BP and I love him to death. He lives in harmony with me, my fiance, and our two cats, and gives the best hugs ;-) Honestly, if you have done the research, then you should go with your gut, but in my experience he is MUCH cheaper to maintain than my two furballs (not to mention he's not afraid of the vacuum cleaner like they are)... $5 every 2 weeks for a frozen rat (available at any PETCO, cheaper if you buy in bulk online), a couple bucks a month for substrate, a bit higher electrical bill to run the heat lamp, and a little bit of time and TLC, possible vet costs if he gets sick, and that's about it. If you can afford the startup costs (about $100-150 for a good set-up) I'd say go for it!

  2. if you have done all the research, then you have to decide if you should get one or not. let me just say that i have 5 ball pythons and love them all. i just bought my first morph today, a male spider ball python. i plan on getting intp breeding when he gets big enough. but it all depends on you.

  3. if you know everything about the ball python then you should know if you should get one or not. i m not a big snake fan but i own two balls one is over four foot long and the otherr is just over three feet long. they are neat pets, thank God my wife handles them. i would say to get one and put all your new found knowledge to some good use.
