  1. Sir or Madam, which ever is correct.

    Not to put to fine at point on it as the English would say, but a motor is an electrically driven machine, whereas what you refer to, is an Internal combustion engine. An external combustion engine, for instance would be a steam engine.

  2. I've seen abused Honda 4-strokes go for 2500 hours, so if it is maintained and runs good, it should be just fine. Just make sure that it has seen regular maintainence (oil changes at anywhere from 50 to 100 hours, spark plugs every five years, gear lube changes) it'll be fine to go well over 2000 hours.   3. 700 hours is on the high side for the engine. If it was treated right and maintained you should be able to double or even triple that. Oil changes and required maint. is the key
