  1. The Uzi-do or Mac10-fu has been known to do just that

  2. Heckler&Koch-DO...

  3. well any fighting style has the potential to do that. But you need to master that art

  4. It comes from within.

The fighting style is love. With love, you can conquer all, without having to dominate.

When in a battle, you remember this, and you do not try to fight. Instead, you relax. The fight does not exist, and protecting yourself is effortless. Meditation is the best way to learn this valuable skill.

As you brace yourself, and get stressed, your chances of emerging victorious get slimmer, because you block your Qi from circulating properly. Just remain calm and relaxed. Do not fight, only remove the opponent's fight.

    ((((hugs))))

    ~Loving Light~

  5. Listen to what the bunny is saying to you, he is absolutely right.  If you try to win by brute strength and martial skill alone you will get absloutely nowhere.  Combine your martial skill with  real meditation and your focus will change, your intention will no longer be on being 'the winner' and only when that happens are you in a position to allow the life force energy to flow through you and make the correct moves.  And in doing this you will also find that you will gain a very gentle strength that requires little, or no effort at all.

Enter you own innermost dimension and you will find what you are seeking; find a Master who will show you the methods you need to attain this.  That is your way forward.

  6. insanity styles you have to be the aggressor always attack with a screaming call spit in there faces, make a massive seen, bite, eye gauge, t******l hits and **** your pants and people will not **** with you i promise

  7. its not ablout what sytle you know, its about how good you are at your chosen style. for example if you have passed your first exam in a style u will not be able to do it, but if you have mastered the style i would guess you could(infact i know you could) i have studied the animal styles of kung fu relentlessly for the past 5 years training every day (excluding illness and injure) and as part of my training we have 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, i havent seen 6-1 cos im not that level yet but i have seen 7-1 once by my master when i was starting out. its about how confident you are when in happens and making sure you are carm and focused on the task when it arises

  8. NO not by any "style"

  9. run

  10. the obivious answer would be no but it is possible i could tell you of this one time that happen to me but then everybody would be on here saying prove it and saying tons of sh**t about my comment so all i got to say is if the six people are not trained at all and are panzys and your are trained then just dont let them grab you move in for your strikes and jump back move in and hit hard (street fight only) with rules and regulations ya be stuffed lol check out bruce lee and tell me if any of his training could be used in a real fight and if so then i would bet on jeet kwon do .well it works in the movies

  11. Judo or Jiu Jitsu.  This could be risky but if you snap someone's arm, the cracking noise will stop the fight.  The other 5 guys won't want to risk getting their broken arm next.

  12. Smith and Wesson.

  13. Quite honestly it would be a one in a million shot to defeat them. About the only way is if they decided it wasn't worth it after one or two went down hard. It might be possible to survive it, but that would mean getting away as soon as an opening presented itself. Survive yes( Get away)...defeat(as in knock them all out).....NO way.

For all the people saying a gun, uzi, MAC-10,, that's all well and fine, but do you carry one? Do you train to use it against that many people? Can you aim accuratly with your breathing really heavy and experiencing tunnel vision, not to mention your fine motor skills having deteriorated, all of which happens in the fight or flight response? Do you train to retain the weapon if somebody is attempting to take it away?  It is impossible to draw a weapon and deploy it accuratly in the time an average person can cover 21 feet. Most of you have played too many video games, and think a gun is a magical thing that will do the work for you. A gun is like anything else, it takes lots of hard work to be able to use it effectivly and make using it instincual.

  14. Yes, if you have an 8-shot 12 ga shotgun, sub machine gun.

But as far as a real fightign style

There are many martial art styles out there, some very popular and some very obscure. It is important to understand the basic features of a style so that you can decide if it is something you will be interested in training in. There are a few broad categories of styles - stand-up styles, ground fighting or grappling styles, throwing styles, weapons based styles and low impact or internal styles:

    1) Stand-up Styles - These utilize punching, kicking and blocking as the main focus of their art. A student learns various stances, footwork and combinations in practice, which vary in appearance and application depending on the style. Stand-up styles include:

    Karate

    Kung Fu/Wushu

    Tae Kwon Do

    Muay Thai/Boran

    Krav Maga

    San Shou

    2) Ground fighting or grappling/locking styles - These do not limit their teaching to the ground. The term simply means that they have a large focus on the "wrestling" aspect of combat. These styles include:

    Brazilian Jujitsu

    Shooto or shoot fighting

    Sambo

    Greco-Roman Wrestling

    3) Throwing styles - These are styles that primarily start from a standup position but utilize throws, trips, locks and other means to disrupt the balance of an opponent. Some of these styles are:

    Judo

    Aikido

    Shuai Jiao (Chiao)

    Hapkido

    4) Low impact or Meditative Styles - These styles, while originally formed for combat purposes, and still are very useful. They focused on breathing, internal energy, stress relief and a low impact form of martial arts training and exercise. These styles include:

    Tai Chi Chuan

    Baguazhang

    Xingyiquan

Consider which type of practice appeals to you

  15. If you had no choice against 6 people and you were surrounded by all six with no where to run what would you do? obviously "Fight or Flight" comes to mind rather quickly, but as I stated you have no where to run.  Dom makes a good point here and I could actually see that being more to a "real life" senario than anything, but even if you weren't trained you're still going to fight your way out as hard as you can win or lose because the only other option is very serious injury or possible death.  I hate when so called experts try to convince people that they won't get cut in a knife fight if they're properly trained when even "military hand-to-hand combat experts" say that you will be cut no matter what you do.  The whole point to either of these types of attacks is to create all the distance that you can between you and your attackers.  If trained you'll be looking to couge eyes immediately to render the first two or three totally useless and from there puhaps try your best to collapse a wind pipe or two on the next attacker or two ( the whole time while creating distance ) you may get a busted nose and a busted mouth out of it or maybe even worse, but fighting for your life at the same time none the less.  Even if you messed up two of them and ran from the other four without any further incident then you've protected your self well enough.  As far as only having a slim chance against multiple attackers you just may be more surprised than not if it ever does happen to you and you're able to get out of it even with lumps and a need for stitches.  I guess that type of "mental toughness" boils down to who you are and past experiences especially if you're a "big city" citizen who's always on his or her toes.  Am I saying that you could make it through all six untouched? no not at all, but a trained individual stands way better odds at defeating four out of six of them, lumps or not, if not all six depending on there own skills as mentioned above my own answer here.  I've personally ran stopped and fought then ran stopped and fought after creating 15 feet or so between my self and would-be street punks when I was a younger kid so from my stand point handling multiple attackers is more than possible. Was I all "hollywood kung-fu" styled about it? h**l no I was scared to death, but the fear and caution kept me from getting stomped at the time even though I was easily forgetting technique left and right.  I'd rather fight my way out than lay down and take a worse beating than I would have not trying to defend myself.  It all boils down to your own will power and determination, but fighting off six attackers would be very do-able if you were absolutely forced to.  I think that some of the best martial artists around have layed in bed at night running this exact question and a thousand multiple attacker sanarios through their heads thinking about what techniques they'd use in order to get out of this kind of situation.

This is one of the better Martial arts questions I've seen on yahoo answers.

  16. Highly unlikely. Depends on how trained the one man is and how trained the other six are. Even then, the lone man would have a real hard time.

*This is speculating that no weapons are involved, and the six men are attacking at relativly the same time.

  17. Yes, western gunpowder. A good pump shotgun backed by a 1911A1 .45ACP will settle that situation.

Hand-to-hand? No way. But if  six UNARMED men come against one with a sword or staff, a few will fall first.

  18. Yes, and any really. It all depends on the six other people and what your skill level and pain tolerance is.

There is no "good" answer to this question because there are several factors that go into determining who wins a fight.

All I can say is that it is possible, and a few martial arts actually require you to spar multiple people by yourself to obtain the highest degrees.

  19. I assume you want to protect yourself. To attack them deliberately, then I would not advise as it is foolish to use violence to prove your point or for revenge.

You have a few options (or mixture of them) to avoid being harmed:

1.RUN. Get yourself very fit and build a lot of stamina – train for 2-3 months on a treadmill – gradually increasing speed until you can do speeds of 16km/hour for 4 minutes without problems. Then when encountering such situation, RUN. Most opponents are not fit to run FAST for more than 2 minutes (hard to believe it but try it for yourself: run AS FAST AS YOU CAN - like running for your life - and see how long you can keep up!!!). Even if they are fit (such as a lot of muscles) it does not mean they can run fast. You will lose them in just over 2 minutes. – BEST OPTION especially that they will not have any remaining hate against you (as you did not hurt them and did not challenged their personality). In fact they will regard you as a coward and forget about you soon. In reality, they are the ones that are cowards; if they were brave they would not go all six of them to attack only one person. Important is that you are unharmed and have not created enemies.

2.SEPARATE THEM. Run. As you run, they will run after you. as they do not all run at the same speed, after 2 minutes (providing you are fit to run FAST that long) they are no longer together (they are separated by some distance; some will  give up after 1 minute). Stop suddenly and deal with a short strike (you will have the surprise advantage) against the closest one and then run again. Hit in the groins or in the chest (stops his breath for a short time). In fact you can also try stopping the closest one by sudden stop and block his momentum with your body (in lower position) thus making him fall over and hurt himself on his fall (due to his high speed). Then you do again the same (after a brief run again) for the next one. This strategy (separation of enemies by running) was used in the past by some Gladiators in the Roman Empire time.

3.MONEY. If these are strangers, they only attacking you for money or fun. If it is money, just give it to them without any hesitation (your health is more important than money, which you can make again by working; your disfigured face would be a trauma for life). If you cooperate without challenging their personality, then they will in most cases leave you alone (proven by research and also by police reports)

4.FUN. If attackers do it for fun, then you might be in trouble as it is hard to make them give up. You can try being calm and try dissipate the fun away by diverting their attention from the fun to some material issues such as offering money or simply talking to them very calmly (to disarm physiologically their anger/hate/ desire for destruction). It might work or not but try it before start fighting. Once fighting started, then their adrenalin would not allow them to back up until the fight is over (normally you are beaten badly). Talking calmly and showing no fear or challenging their personality can do miracles and some people experienced it. It is however hard to be calm in such situation then you need to use your psychology, which not everyone can master.

5.FIGHT. In most case it will mean you will be beaten. Even if you win, you will create yourself enemies that will come after you again in the future (i.e. you will win the battle but not the war). If you are a beginner in martial arts (i.e. only a few years of practice only) no fighting style can protect you from such a large number of people even if they are not trained. You stand a chance (but not guaranteed) only if you have practiced for many-many years and you are gifted for this. If the attackers are trained,, then even a master would stand little chance of fighting. Please be aware that normal attackers that attack for fun would also have some kind of weapons such as pocket knives, broken bottles (i.e. sharp glass), sticks etc. Furthermore, if they are drunk or using drugs, they will attack you without fear or care about themselves, which makes them very dangerous (as they would not stop even if they are hurt).

6.FIGHING STYLES. It would appear that AIKIDO might be good especially in open spaces. After you become experienced (i.e. many many years of training) you stand a good chance especially if the opponents have no weapons and have little training. If the attackers have weapons and are well trained in martial arts, then only a master could stand a chance (not guaranteed). The attackers’ strength does not matter as AIKIDOA is based on the attackers’ strength not yours. Furthermore, you will be throwing them around (with very little effort) making them to hurt themselves on their fall and prove your superiority in fighting without causing to much bodily harm hence reducing the chance of creating lifetime enemies. You do not get tired as you use very little force and also works psychologically as your opponents cannot do anything but harm themselves (and get tired quickly as they will try using a lot of force due to their frustration of not being able to touch you) and will give up eventually. If you see some quality videos on the internet (filter the poor ones out) you will see the superiority of AIKIDO compared to other styles. Please note that AIKIDO it is meant for defence against multiple attackers without using much force – i.e. not for attacking.

7.JO or BO STICK fighting (also part of AIKIDO and it is called AIKI-JO). Use a stick of 50” – 75” and do wanders even against people with knives and well trained. You need to train for long time before you can master it. It only applies normally if they attack you at your home (as you are allowed to have martial arts weapons at home) or use the wooden handle from your garden broom. It could take less time to master than martial arts plus can defend you better against weapons. The JO and BO sticks were used in the past in Japan by common people / peasant (as many of them were not be allowed to carry weapons) to protect themselves against enemies with swords and nunchakus – these sticks in expert hands will do wanders.

8.NUNCHAKU – again if you are attacked at home. It could take les time to master than martial arts plus can defend you better against weapons

  20. No!

If only one managed to clinch grapple with you then the rest would just overwhelm you like a pack of dogs.

Best advice not put yourself in that situation or run, run, run :)***

  21. muay thai no, krav maga maybe, if you were REALLY good and strong and in good shape.  but if six men are gonna come at you it's a good idea to have a reliable weapon just in case you need it.

  22. Kajukenbo is a hybrid martial art that combines karate, judo, jujutsu, kenpo, kung fu and boxing. It was invented in 1947 in Oahu, Hawaii, at the Palama Settlements, to deal with local crime, as well as to help the people defend themselves from U.S. Navy sailors who would drink and fight with the locals. The inventors were Sijo ("founder") Adriano Emperado, Peter Young Yil Choo, Joe Holck, Frank Ordonez, and Clarence Chang, who called themselves the Black Belt Society.

This martial art uses hard, fast strikes to vital points all over the body, takedowns involving high impact throwdowns and many joint and limb breaking techniques--usually as follow-ups to takedowns. There are also many blocks from attacks such as punches and defences and disarmament of offensive weapons.

The name works in two ways: "ka" ("long life"), "ju" ("happiness"), "ken" ("fist"), "bo" ("style") or "ka" ("karate"), "ju" ("judo"/"jujutsu"), "ken" ("kenpo"), "bo" (Chinese Boxing Kung Fu), leading to the art's philosophical meaning: "Through this fist style, one gains long life and happiness."
