  1. Hi, what a great idea for present!

For a successful choice, I would say that your destination should depend on your husband's interests... or at least, on yours.

Paris, London, Rome...they are so different! Do you speak any European languages? That would make things easier.

Does he have any clear European ancestry?

Perhaps a trip to the homeland of his forebears would be interesting.

If everything else fails, go for Venice: you can't go wrong! And the weather will be wonderful in September, while prices should be down a bit from high season.

It is sooooo romantic to just wonder around its narrow streets which then suddenly open up on the water!

Try renting a flat rather than a hotel room: it works out a lot cheaper plus it makes you feel at home there like nothing else could.

I wish you a fantastic trip.

  2. hi there!

    well i think England:

    -London

    -Manchester

-Blackpool-if you like to go somewhere lively

    France:

    -paris

    Italy:

    -rome

  3. Paris is the classic romantic trip. I'd definitely recommend a dinner cruise on the Seine, it was the best night I've had with my boyfriend so far. We went with http://www.diner-boat-paris.com/

Salzburg is also lovely. Nice and small so you can get around easily, and it's just a short trip up into the beautiful lake district with all the mountains.

  4. you dont say where your from but i was in kilkenny last month and we had a fabulous time something for both of us loads of shopping and country pubs that have music every night hope this helps

  5. Talk 2 some of his friends and c if ur husband ever told them what his dream trip would b. If it's a suitable place then call my mom. She's a Business Travel Agent, but I'm sure she can forward u 2 a Travel Agent that will help u suit ur Vacation needs @ an affordable budget! She knows people.

    Her number is 972-808-8805

  6. If you want to go somewhere away from the tourist hustle and bustle try Lausanne in Switzerland. It is a 30 minute train ride from Geneva airport (you can get cheap flights there!). Lausanne is on Lake Geneva, we were lucky enough to get a room that overlooked the lake. There is enough to do, the Olympic museum (the IOC live their). You can get a boat to Evian (of water fame) in France over the lake, it takes about half an hour. The town in beautiful.

  7. Paris is the best place in Europe for romantics. Wonderful food, wine, shops, clothes (window shopping only unless you are rich, places to visit. It's a must - consider it anyway. Have a wonderful time wherever you go.
