Hi ive been quoted £100 by a garage for some rear brake pads putting on a vectra sri 2005 is price reasonable?

Does the guy who gave you the quote wear a mask and a stripey jumper?

If it's rear pads (not shoes), get your hands on a Haynes manual and do it your self.  You'll be surprised how straight-forward it is.  Failing that...I'll do them for £80 :-)

There are plenty of garages around that supply tyres that also do brakes.

Check them out first.

It is NOT rocket science, if you are physically able to change a wheel, you can change brake pads too!  Get a Haynes manual, and have a friend who can do it show you as well.

Firstly they will fit the move expencive pads , cheap ones can fail and they would be libel , Still it sounds a bit pricy get another quote

I'd say that was a bit steep for just supplying & fitting rear brake pads. Ring around a few places, even try Kwik-Fit, they're usually cheap for jobs like this.

Hi,    if you cannot do them yourself ,  its safer to pay the garage

You can ring around,  but you will find this competative

Sadly,  the garage wont buy the parts online, but you will know that the items are correct and fitted properly and working

Rest assured  your car will be road worthy again

To have just pads fitted is a bit steep av.price would be £40-50 fitted with a guarantee but there are additional hand brake shoes in the drums dose the quote include them also,if so price is reasonable

The £85 will be for labour and VAT costs. The labour charge has to take into account wages, overheads (Electricity, rent and rates etc) so depending on where you live it could be higher or lower.

I live in a rural area and the labour charges at my local garage is between £30 and £70 so I think your charge seems fair.
