Hi.my blood group is AB(-) but my girlfrined's is AB (+).and i would like to know if these blood group match?

  1. The A and B refer to the antigens on the surface of the red blood cell so on that note you match. You, being negative, could get her (or anyone else's) positive blood once, in a pinch, but you could develop antibodies in you blood that would attack any subsequent transfusions you may receive making you very sick, maybe even die. but she can get your blood.


  2. You won't have a problem if/when you decide to have children.  Then the possibility of an rh + mother carrying an rh - child becomes an issue.  There are ways around it, any ob.gyn can handle it, but this would be your only concern... Unless you're expecting a blood donation from her any time soon--it will not happen!

  3. The blood types are the same but the rh factor (+/-) is different.  She can except your blood but you cannot except hers.
