Hi places to see near oakville?

hi i will be visiting canada for few days and will be statying in oakville area, what are the good places to see there and where can i make new friends...........

the lakeshore area is very nice and there are some lots of shops in the "down town" part of oakville. u can also take a day trip into toronto by train. i don't remember there being much out in oakville accept a couple of colleges and some shopping centers. threre may be some places where u can go and play games and hang out.
