  1. You can check the average weather and temperatures for those dates at http://www.barcelona.com/barcelona_city_...

  2. Weather for travel in Spain is best around May and September. The Summer is very hot (although generally dry -not in Barcelona though). If you can advance your trip to mid September, it will probably pay off: it's beautiful and not touristy at all. October tends to be a bit more unsettled.

You will probably love Barcelona, it's a great town. Consider visiting Madrid, it's also a beautiful city, with a huge cultural, gastronomic and entertainment offer. If you are planning to visit the south, you can't miss Sevilla. Córdoba has some interesting things to see, and so does Granada. If you are going to visit Granada, consider making reservations for the Alhambra in advance (better safe than sorry). Cádiz is also pretty, and has some very nice beaches.

This is generally underrated, but Extremadura has some beautiful locations, that are worth visiting.

You may get some ideas if you take a look at the places in Spain that are considered Patrimony of Humanity, apart from the places already mentioned above.

  3. Stay away from summer, it is very crowded as schools have lots of fieldtrips and families pack the motorways to go to the coast and leave major cities. The best offers to go to Europe are always available in winter, December and January. In Barcelona the mean temperatures are around 10-12 degrees Centigrade (50-53 degrees Farenheit)and January is the second dryest month in terms of rain.
