ok im reading the book the light in the forest and i need help on a question. What does it say about the father-son relationship that until now harry butler has not been in his sons room? thanks!

I think this is one based on logic. Logically, would you think that a father who had not been in his son's room until then, was really involved in his son's life? Would you suppose they were really close? A bedroom is usually the most intimate room in a house. It's where you keep your treasures and your secrets. Would you think that a father who had not shared that intimate space with his son would know what his son treasured, what his son feared?
