Hi plz answer. Should i free this hamster?

TOday in the morning my cousin ' hamster broke free and hide in my room. I didnt know that until tonight. I dont know what to do with it now. Unlike dog i cant let hamster run free because they may lost but i dont want to keep it into a box. Should i keep it and give it back to my cousin or secrectly release it?

give it to your cousin!! a poor little hamster wont survive on its own. they live in the wild in certain climates not just your neigborhood backyard. why wouldnt you want to give the hamster back anyway??
