Hi there, just wondering what uni's in canada are internationally recognised?

I'm an international student and want to study History but also want to go somewhere thats fun, sporty and in a city/surburban environment.

If by "recognized" you mean that degrees from the university will be accepted as valid then you have huge numbers to choose from www.aucc.ca is the main portal to all legitimate Canadian universities. If by "recognized" you mean having a high international profile that is more difficult. Toronto and McGill obviously across the board. After that it is more a matter of programme by programme and department by department. For history specifically Toronto certainly, York too for Canadian history, McMaster in Hamilton, Western for the public history graduate programme. If you want to be in a tourism/recreation town then UBC's Okanagan campus is a possibility.
