Hi there! Anyone live in Vilseck Germany and could possibly assist me in ways to find housing?

I dont want to stay in a hotel for months while the military finds housing. Please help. Thanks

i am a military child and we had to walk about a block from the hotel (Kristall inn)  and there is a large building with many floors and window all i know is walk up the stairs and talk to the first person you see

Well, I must say that the housing situation right now in Vilseck is awesome. They (the military) has built a lot of brand new homes. I would say they easily have the best housing for Army personell in Germany.

The webpage https://onestop.army.mil/mainmenu-housin... is the way to go to find housing and contact the correct people. Do NOT contact an Immobilien, they are relators and charge a VERY high fee to find you a place to stay. It's borderline ridiculous... do NOT do it and you will NOT be reimbursed. yeah you will want to get in contact with an immobilian.....they will set you up with a ''nice'' house for you and your family close to post.  it may cost you or the army a fee though....go to any bank in germany such as the sparkassee....they will all have a way for you to get in contact with an immobilian....waiting for the army sucks....and if you do decide to wait for the army make sure you live in a house (either on or off post) and not in the apartments.  the apartments is generally where the trashy people lives....good luck i hope your not in 2-63 battalion....its the worst battalion in vilseck.....
