  1. If you intend to stay in Oz for a year, you have to prove that you can afford to do so, because for the first 2 years of any body staying in Oz, you will get no help from the state as regards Welfare, and neither will you get any free medical Care. The only exception is if  any family are already resident in Oz, then they can act as your sponsers. This means they will support you for Welfare or Hospital care while you are living there.

  2. You'll need to show proof that you are able to support yourself for a month or so in case you can't get steady work and you will also need to prove that you have a return ticket or the funds to purchase one.

Take your bank statements with you showing a reasonable balance.

  3. I went on a 6 month student visa, and they just asked me about my funds at immigration. However i did have with me bank statements and proof of income just in case.
