  1. Hi

I am not sure if things in Italy are the same as they are in Spain but...........!

The main problems in Spain are:

    a.  slipped completion dates - sometimes by up to 2 years

    b.  incompletion of ameneties (roads, water, elec, phone) because the builders have not completed licences

    c.  Illegal building (on unauthorised land)

    d.  being told that no other development will go ahead - I know a number of people who have lost their views as new buildings have been built immedialtely in front of theirs

    e.  Loss of land - especially in Valencia where the govt build new social ("council") housing and confiscate land from existing landowners.

Not all new developments are like this (and as I say it is Spain I am talking about) but it is worth being aware.  If you see a house that isd already built and being lived in and you like it consider that option strongly.

    Good Luck!
