Well, alot of people over the years(Jessie Jackson-Al Sharpton types) have been wanting reparations (money to be paid to black people today) over slavery-a event that ended over 150 years ago. Obama is against it.

For the generations of black people today slavery  was indeed a great benefit to them. Why? because its unlikely that they would be living in such modern countries as they do now, they could have still been born into poverty and nil education. so compensation for what? giving these generations a better life?

I totally condem slavery and all that it stood for and remember there were many thousands of white people put into slavery to, it should never have happened but it did so we must move forward.
