Hi why Sony Blu-ray disk it has French 5.1 audio instead of Spanish 5.1 channel? I am trying to learn Spanish & I own 24 Blu-ray movies & mostly it supports French 5.1 channel. I think the Blu-ray disk it should have 4 languages & the Blu-ray disk it has 50GB!!!

  1. because the blu-ray was made in france and that was when it became big

  2. because it is also sold in canada, where the official languages are english and french.

they did not put spanish because the  bluray movement hasn't gotten to southern america yet.

  3. There is no set standard for what languages are on a Blu-ray disk. The choice is (presumably) made by the studio based on the expected demographics for the disk. There are no specific limits on languages on a disk, but each language costs money to include. While Spanish may make sense in the US, French is a necessary language for sale in Canada.

That said, you need to look at the languages (both spoken and subtitles) included on the disk before buying.
