hi you all who knows/pilot/operates Harrier/AV-8BII and or JSF F-35

lets say there are 2 AVSTOL jets Harrier/AV-8BIIs (or JSF F-35s)

both fully armed and getting ready to airborne on the same spot,

2nd jet is lined up behind jet #1.

1st jet just took off VERTICALLY,

then the 2nd jet took off.

questions are...

1. On the ground, whats the safest distance

between jet #1 and #2 ?

2. How long must #2 wait (cleared)

to take off from the same spot ?

3. same case, but for 2 VTOL JSF F-35

thanks a lot ;)

  1. First    both would not go vertical with a load of ordinances (too Heavy), what they would do is have a rolling start and then go up or have a jump ramp like thing to help. If they did go vertical  they would need a tanker fast (plus the AV-8B would have used up all of the water). Distance and wait I would think about 10 to 30 sec.
