Hi8 tape won't play...one of the wheels in the tape won't turn

it's stuck and everytime i put it in my camcorder, it spits it right back out?

the Hi8 cassette mechanism has reel locks (just like VHS). it is possible that it broke. if you have a jeweller's size philips screwdriver, you can disassemble the case and remove the locking bar but you will need to handle the cassette carefully after that or you will get tape spills.

It could the that the belt driving that wheel has broken and needs replacing. Either that or the wheel is frozen due to the ball bearings ran out of lubrication.
