  1. u can do ur MASTERS since u stand a better chance for rapid rise in ranks!!

i also advise u to do MBA by correspondence to attract a better CV!!

    all the best

  2. The problem with a field like bioinformatics is that most jobs DOING bioinformatics require a postgraduate degree. There aren't many of these jobs, and they are highly competitive. This leaves you with (as I see it) three options:

    1. Commit to bioinformatics. Get good grades, start looking for research experience that will help you get into grad school, etc.

    2. Identify the core strengths of your program (analytical and computer skills?). Take courses in those areas, and add some business courses. Accounting is particularly good. It may not be glamorous, but it's a necessary part of every business. There are a lot of different jobs out there if you are prepared to be flexible. An extra degree won't help you here.

    3. The compromise. You don't need to rush into grad school, so get a job for a few years while you sort things out. Helpful if you do things from both #1 and #2.

Frankly, #2 is probably the best option. Science degrees currently have a good reputation in business (especially in finance). Unless you really have a calling for bioinformatics, make use of it. I'm a recent graduate, so I have some idea how you will feel at graduation.
