Yes.  There are lots of jobs.  But lots of them don't pay too well.

Lots of (not all) unemployed people who live in London dont want to work.

Rent gets paid for them to an extent.

Young mums in london get things done for them and cant find job to match so they have more kids and stay unemployed.

The cost of housing makes it difficult for a single person without kids to be housed etc
