Everton stalwart, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Naismith-c34205 can make a massive impact for the Toffees this coming season.
The Merseyside club signed Pienaar from Tottenham Hotspur for a 4.5 million pounds transfer fee in July, keeping in view his phenomenal six-month stint at Goodison Park last term.
On the other hand, Everton acquired the services of the Scottish International on the Bosman ruling, following the expulsion of his former employers, Glasgow Rangers from the Scottish Premier League.
Naismith, who on Wednesday made his debut home appearance for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 against AEK Athens, fired a hat-trick against the Greek side to propel his side to a 4-1 win. During the match, the striker formed a good partnership with Pienaar, who set up the first
goal for him.
Having seen their alliance upfront in his testimonial game, the English International felt that the duo can go on and do wonders for the team in their coming league campaign.
He was particularly impressed by the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 goal scoring machine for making an instant impact at his new club, and opined that he showed no signs of nervousness and edginess.
The defender told the reporters in an interview, “It shows what he is capable of and in the proper games when he is fully fit, there's a lot more [to come] of him. He's a new player, he's settled in quick. It does take time for a new person to come in and
settle down but it doesn't show there.”
Pienaar’s signature by the Toffees means that he will now spend his fourth spell at Merseyside. However, his enthusiasm and will of doing well for Everton seems to be growing with the passage of time. Having already proven his mettle at the club during his
earlier spells, the South African International’s last season can be reckoned as arguably the best in his career.
Keeping in view his scintillating recent form, Hibbert insisted that he will be one player who will fluster defences, and bring a lot of value to the team.
“Steven is world class… I don't think any defender likes playing against him. What we've got now with the ability of Steven [Naismith] and Steven Pienaar is frightening,” he added.
