  1. Hibiscus can be lazy! They can go to mid June with no leaves at all - I looked at one today with the very 'problem' that you mention.  The yellow leaves are actually because they are young - but they look worse amongst the lush green of everything else in the garden! I am off to get some well rotted horse manure to mulch it with tomorrow, and give it a good water.  They won't be rushed but It will be flowering before you know it.  Hibiscus need to be pruned hard or trained in Spring to get the best flowers. Good luck :-)

  2. Humm... are they in pots?  Mine is in a pot. I've had it for about 7 years. Several times i thought I killed it but it's still going. When the leaves all turned yellow I trimmed it back and re potted it. I did find out that I couldn't leave it in direct sun light all day. It does best with morning sun and I water it pretty often. Some times it's full of blooms and then it'll stop for awhile.

  3. The bushes may have insects and may need to be sprayed for them.  It is now probably too late to obtain any new buds.  Leaves may turn yellow from lack of water, insects, and even too much water.  The best thing to do would be in the fall, cut back the bushes and in the spring apply a trusted fertilizer from your local dealer.  Next year, watch the leaves carefully for insects, etc.  Water when needed.

  4. Mine are blooming like crazy here in florida they are all less then a foot high (still babies) and I constantly  have 3-6 blooms on each.

Check the water...they require plenty of water but in a well drained area or container.

Also they like alot of sun.

They made need some fertilizer to give them nutrients to bloom.

You can try to cut all the limbs back about a foot and right about a set of leaves. This will cause them to shoot out new growth which will promote blooms.

And as others have said...check for pests!
