Hicama in english?

what is hicama in english. it's a mexican fruit that has no real taste but really good.

think  its the same never heard it called anything else but i think in spanish  its spelled jicama

It is actually Jicima and is sometimes called a yam bean.

There is no English translation.  We just call it Jicama (pronounced Hicama).  It's fairly popular in more adventurous American recipes.

It's actually not a fruit.  It's a root.  It does have a light, fruity texture, though.
