Question:

Hidden DVD format?

Hey friends,

I was trying to copy one DVD to system. But it shows 0 bytes when explored.

I couldn't copy the content neither to system nor to a DVD.

Interesting thing is it is getting played in Cyber link Power DVD player as well as in the DVD player(Deck).

Can anyone suggest me an answer how to copy the thing to system or to another DVD?

Kindly don't say it is copy protected.I think there should be a tricky thing which hides the files....

Thank you & looking forward for your suggestions......

  1. you have to download a program that will "rip" the dvd (similar to a cd) Search the internet and you should be able to find some. I've never used any, so i can't suggest anything.

Also, depending on how it is ripped.... A normal dvd has VOB files, which are meant for dvd's. For the computer you probably want it in AVI format unless you are looking to make and exact copy of the dvd to burn to another dvd. AVI formats are much smaller than VOB files.

it all depends on what you are trying to do. For a program try searching on google.

  2. You should use DVD ripper.... similar to what you do with audio CD. You can't simply copy them

  3. yes, need a dvd ripper. Aimersoft DVD Ripper is the most powerful one that I have used before. It has great power to rip DVD to video of all formats. You can free download here:

Other DVD ripper you can get from:

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of DVD Ripper give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product.

Also, you can search some other software:
