Hidden Justice to take down Arch Villain in the Three Friday Nights Classified Stakes at Goodwood
The Class 5 Three Friday Nights Classified Stakes will be held at Goodwood over a mile and three furlongs on Friday, 15th June. Competing for the £2,727 prize money are four three-year-old runners. Not every entry has raced at Goodwood and those
who have raced there could not win.
With regard to recent experience of racing at Goodwood, Hidden Justice, Lawman’s three-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Uncharted Haven, takes lead of the line-up today.
He kick started the new season with the Hazel Wigley Memorial Stakes (Handicap) on 24th May over a mile and a furlong. The race was won by Beaufort Twelve who led the runner up of the race, Silver Lime, by a short head’s distance.
The 5/1 favourite of the race, Eurystheus, ended fourth on the field of thirteen as Hidden Justice settled seventh.
His second try of the season was in the Crimbourne Stud Stakes (Handicap) on 8th June at Goodwood over a mile and four furlongs. Hidden Justice settled as the runner up right behind the winner, Spanish Wedding, who led by two lengths.
Finishing third in line behind the winner was the 9/4 favourite of the race, Party Line.
Today will be his third straight try at Goodwood and his chances of making the most out of the chance today by exploiting the competitive edge to the complete extent.
He will need to look out for Arch Villain, Arch’s three-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Barzah. His entrance into the new was quite impressive as he won the seasonal debut on 22nd May at Kempton over a mile and four furlongs.
He led the Southwark News Proudly Supports Millwall Handicap by a slight nose’s margin, setting Hector’s Chance as the runner up.
The 9/2 favourite of the race, Dartford, managed the seventh position on the track of eleven.
The three-year-old has not raced at Goodwood before and the strike in the seasonal debut was his first career success. Reaching the level and then letting it go might not be Arch Villain’s plan and thus make the race competitive for Hidden Justice.
